We are thrilled to announce that Installnet’s Ecoserv program has reached a significant sustainability milestone – we’ve diverted 50 million pounds of unused office furniture from landfills!

This achievement would not have been possible without the tremendous efforts of our dedicated employees, network of more than 350 service providers and committed customers throughout North America. Thank you for helping us reach this incredible milestone.

Since 2012, we have donated furniture to more than 3,000 non-profit and community groups. This not only reduces our environmental impact but allows organizations like domestic violence shelters and public schools to devote more of their resources to serving people in need. What does 50 million pounds of furniture not going to landfill mean?

• 2,500 semi-truckloads of furniture still in use.
• 91,750 metric tons of emissions eliminated. This is the equivalent of eliminating 235 million miles driven by gas-powered vehicles
  

Installnet’s commitment to sustainability doesn’t stop here. We continue to evolve and grow our Ecoserv program to meet the changing needs of our customers. With new sustainability requirements from California and the European Union on the horizon, we are strengthening our reporting mechanisms to ensure we meet and exceed these standards.

Unlike other programs, Installnet takes responsibility for all items removed from a site, ensuring transparency by reporting the total percentage of items diverted. In 2023, our average diversion rate was 79.5% across 389 decommission projects.
