Meet: Gretchen Phipps
Role: Senior Project Coordinator
Time with Installnet: 12 years
What does a typical day look like for you?
It depends on the day! For some customers, I may be checking in early before work begins. You can also find me quoting new projects, coordinating project timelines with service providers, resolving issues in real time, and staying connected to my customers throughout the day. I also spend time developing customer relationships and creating and sharing content on LinkedIn.
What skill are you most proud of?
Organization has always been one of my biggest strengths, especially when managing customers with complex requirements. I’m also someone who genuinely cares about people. I try to be empathetic, support my teammates whenever I can, and build strong relationships with both customers and colleagues.
How has your role evolved over the past 12 years?
As I’ve taken on more customers, I’ve learned that every account operates differently. Each customer has unique expectations, communication styles, and project requirements. Learning how to adapt while maintaining strong relationships has been one of the biggest areas of growth in my career.
What’s your favorite Installnet tradition?
Our Thanksgiving celebration. It’s always been a wonderful time when everyone comes together, slows down, and appreciates one another. Our leadership makes it special for us with place cards and little touches. Even as Installnet has grown, it’s remained a reminder of the culture and teamwork that make this such a great place to work.
Any personal or professional goals you are working towards?
Professionally, I’m focused on continuing to strengthen customer relationships and account development. Personally, I’m making time to focus on my health and enjoy life outside of work while continuing to do the job I love.
Outside of work, what do you enjoy?
My husband and I enjoy antique shops, truck shows, tractor pulls, gardening, and spending time at home in the country. I also have a Chihuahua named Bailey who’s 14 years old—he is my world!
