Installnet Staff Spotlight: Michelle Craig
At Installnet, our strength has always been our people. Today, we’re spotlighting a longtime team member whose leadership, curiosity, and commitment have helped shape who we are today.
Meet: Michelle Craig
Role: Ecoserv Strategic Advisor
Time with Installnet: 28 years
What has changed at Installnet over the past 28 years? What has stayed the same?
What’s stayed the same is our core installation services business, which is our unique niche in the commercial furniture world. We’ve always been a solutions–driven company with a relentless focus on customer service.
What’s changed is our scale and reach. When I started, the team was small – Dale Ewing (CEO), two project/sales managers and me. We all wore multiple hats and Dale encouraged growth by pushing us beyond our comfort zones, always with support, trust, and the expectation that we’d rise to the challenge. While Installnet has grown tremendously, delivering solutions with a customer-first approach remain at the heart of everything we do.
What’s the most memorable project you’ve worked on at Installnet?
One standout project was a 42-floor decommission project completed in just eight weeks for a major insurance carrier company in Illinois. It was fast-paced and required tight coordination across multiple trades. We were extremely proud that we finished on budget and on time, yielding a fantastic sustainability story not only the client but for the community as well.
That project reinforced one of Installnet’s biggest strengths: disciplined project management and solution-driven execution. We presented a clear strategy, set boundaries, took control of the process, and stuck to the plan despite daily challenges. It was intense, but incredibly rewarding.
What’s a typical day like for you?
I’m a planner by nature. A big part of my role is building visibility of Installnet’s capabilities with furniture dealers and national customers while helping grow and support a strong, experienced project management team. At the end of the day, it’s about creating the structure, clarity, and confidence that allows our teams to deliver exceptional results.
Something people may not know about you?
One, I’m one of ten children. And two, I encouraged both of my sons, Justin and Ryan, to join the company. That’s how much I love Installnet! I believe in the people, the vision, and the way we do business. Installnet has grown because we’ve stayed true to who we are and keep pushing forward, together.
