How Installnet Helped Arcadis Scale Sustainable Furniture Decommissioning
The best partnerships don’t stand still. They evolve, improve, and create greater impact over time.
When Arcadis, a global leader in sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions, set out to create a more sustainable approach to workplace transitions, the company needed a decommissioning partner that could support its operations across the U.S. and Canada while aligning with its goal of becoming a net-zero company by 2035.
Through Installnet’s Ecoserv program, Arcadis implemented a scalable approach to managing surplus furniture—one that prioritizes reuse, donation, and responsible recycling while providing the consistency and reporting needed to support enterprise-wide sustainability goals.
Since 2016, Installnet has completed 375 Ecoserv projects for Arcadis, diverting nearly 3.5 million pounds of furniture from landfills and donating more than 1.3 million pounds to community organizations.
Those results reflect more than a successful decommissioning program. They demonstrate how the right partnership can turn workplace transitions into opportunities to reduce waste, support local communities, and make measurable progress toward long-term sustainability objectives.
