Installnet Staff Spotlight: Jason Alexis
At Installnet, our success depends on the people behind the details: the team members who keep projects organized, project managers informed, and customers supported every step of the way. Today, we’re spotlighting a project coordinator whose organization, reliability, and attention to detail help projects stay on track long before crews arrive onsite.
Meet: Jason Alexis
Role: Project Coordinator
Time with Installnet: Almost three years
What do you enjoy most about working at Installnet?
It feels really personable. I’ve worked at bigger companies before, but Installnet feels close-knit. Everyone knows everyone else and what’s going on in their lives. There’s a real sense of community and culture here, and that makes a difference.
What’s a typical day like for you?
As a Project Coordinator, I support project managers on upcoming projects and handle many of the logistics leading up to installation. A big part of my role is tracking inventory, making sure products arrive where they need to go, flagging any product issues, and keeping everything organized as the project nears kick-off. A lot of my day is spent in spreadsheets and emails, making sure all the details are lined up so the install team is prepared when it’s time to go onsite.
How do you help support successful projects?
A lot of the projects I work on are large, some involving hundreds of product lines and assets, so organization is critical. Inventory can change constantly, and it’s my job to make sure what we’re tracking matches what’s actually happening in real time. The goal is to be proactive and not reactive to ensure success.
What skill are you most proud of using in your role?
Definitely my organizational skills, especially with Excel. I’m good with spreadsheets and tracking systems, and I’m proud of it because it helps keep projects and teams aligned. I also try to make my notes and inventory tracking very thorough so that project managers can quickly understand exactly what’s going on.
Who has influenced your approach to your work?
My entire team has been a big influence, but especially my fellow coordinator, Jessa. She’s extremely knowledgeable, very helpful, and really good at what she does. She’s someone I look up to professionally because she sets a high standard. Having people around you who are willing to help and share knowledge makes a huge difference.
What do you enjoy most about Installnet’s culture?
I really enjoy the company traditions and events that bring people together. Things like the summer picnic, grilled cheese day, and other team activities make the workplace feel fun and connected. That’s something I didn’t really experience at previous jobs. Installnet does a great job making people feel like they’re part of something bigger than just their individual role.
Something people may not know about you?
I have a twin sister, and we spend a lot of time together with our extended family. We regularly have family game nights with cousins and relatives, which is always a lot of fun.
