Installnet Staff Spotlight: Amy Graziano
At Installnet, our success depends on people who can juggle multiple priorities at once, adapt to shifting demands, and stay organized and detail-oriented while keeping every project moving forward. Today, we’re spotlighting a project manager whose organization, responsiveness, and dedication help ensure projects run smoothly from start to finish.
Meet: Amy Graziano
Role: Project Manager
Time with Installnet: 5 years
What does your role at Installnet involve?
I work with one of our largest customers on a variety of projects in senior living and healthcare facilities. That can include everything from delivering supplies, such as cleaning products, dishes, and landscaping materials, to installing furniture in resident rooms and common areas, including beds, dressers, wardrobes, sofas, dining tables, and outdoor furniture. I oversee the entire project, receiving product, planning the installation, and managing the actual install.
What does a typical day look like?
I wouldn’t say there is a typical day, which is something I like about the role. I can make the best to-do list, and within minutes of logging in, it can completely change based on challenges, special requests, or issues that need to be resolved quickly
What makes someone successful in your role?
Attention to detail. Attention to detail. Attention to detail! Being organized and patient doesn’t hurt either. There are many moving parts, and timelines can shift quickly, so you have to be able to adapt while keeping track of all the details.
How do you approach problem-solving on a project?
My rule of thumb is to always do your homework first and don’t speak until you have the facts. I like to investigate what happened before reacting. Often, problems solve themselves once you take the time to understand the situation instead of assuming or reacting too quickly.
What sets Installnet apart from others in the industry?
We have an incredibly strong network of providers, and everyone collaborates and supports each other. When you partner with Installnet, you gain access to more than a small internal team; you tap into a vast network of hundreds of installers, operations managers, warehouse managers, and other seasoned professionals spanning North America.
Is there a project that showcases what Installnet does best?
I’ve been managing an installation for a brand-new senior living facility in Fayetteville, Arkansas. We needed to complete most of the project within two months of it being awarded. We were able to receive and install most of the product in less than eight weeks, and we’ve made several additional trips as more product arrived. Our provider is located just two miles from the site and has been incredibly accommodating, making multiple trips and helping us stay on schedule. Projects like this highlight more than coordination and logistics. They reflect the strength of our partnerships: service providers who are willing to pivot, accommodate special situations, and take pride in helping deliver projects in their own communities.
What keeps you motivated?
I have a four-year-old son who is autistic. The work I do at Installnet helps provide the resources he needs to thrive. He’s been attending a specialized preschool that supports the unique developmental needs of children with autism for almost a year, and he’s made great progress. Seeing that progress motivates me every day.
What do you enjoy outside of work?
I’ve been doing genealogy for about 14 years. Through my research, I’ve discovered that I’m related to two of my Installnet coworkers and the spouse of one of our former coworkers. Genealogy has taught me a lot about people, history, and the sacrifices our ancestors made to give us the opportunities we have today.
